I never brought this topic up on this blog, but I thought it would be a good thing to go over. I’m going to try and put together a post of suggestions for people with allergies to foods who are traveling to conventions. I myself have celiac, so I can’t have any wheat - a near impossibility for basic con food. So, drop me an ask, let me know about your food allergies, and if you’ve been to a con before share some tips and advice for what you did as well!
seeing as how I was without internet at my grandparents today, this is what I did on my laptop

Is anyone attending Nashcon with a gold or silver Misha auto that wouldn’t mind giving it up to someone who wants the auto? Leave a message in my askbox!

I would ask this of the Creation Events team - however I’m sure that your seat will be held. You won’t get the email until business hours sometime on Monday, I believe. I’ve noticed that they process each order themselves - which is why it’s not an automated system where you receive a ticket immediately. If you’re worried about losing your seat, you can always email Creation at creatickets@creationent.com (be sure to give them all your information such as your full name, email, and which convention it is) - but by the time they get back to you on Monday I’m sure your tickets will be sent. I do believe that your seat is held, however, I don’t see why it wouldn’t - however I don’t work for Creation and can’t be quoted directly. I do think you will get everything just fine - the good gold tickets won’t even sell out for a few months anyways, it’s very very early for that.

That sounds slightly typical, especially for the big conventions. Don’t forget that hundreds of people attended Nashcon, the handlers next to them often have the job of making sure everything is accomplished in a tiny manner with the high volume of fans queuing up for autographs. With Jared and Jensen especially - you do get more time with other guests, I’ve noticed occasionally.
Going to your first convention alone? Did friends bail on you last minute? Well have no fears, there’s always the extended Supernatural family to fall back on in times of need!
There are several tumblrs and other online communities dedicated to meeting up at conventions. Here are some to check out…
CHICON MEETUP on tumblr. (Chicago)
NASHCON MEETUP on tumblr. (Nashville)
LACON/BANKCON on livejournal (Formerly Los Angeles, now Burbank)
Do you know or moderate a convention meetup site? Drop us a message and we’ll share it with our followers!

1. Looking at their rough schedule right now, I would recommend getting there 10:30 Friday night if you’re there that night for karaoke, and 10am Saturday if you’re attending starting that day! General passes are open for registration (basically signing in) at those times, and you wanna get there as early as you can because the lines can be long sometimes and events start pretty early after those times - you don’t wanna miss anything! 2. Umm I would say about an hour each, on average. Sometimes they’re given only half an hour, sometimes I’ve heard panels can get two hours (especially if they run into each other and there’s no intermission between guests). I hope you have an awesome time at your first con! If you have any other questions between now and then, ask away!

Well mostly people just dress casually. I don’t think that they would dress up just for the cocktail party - but this is the first Creation Con cocktail party. Did you mean the Dessert Party on Saturday night? That’s casual too. You just sit together at tables with your friends and eat the provided dessert while the celebrities make their rounds from table to table to greet everyone. I don’t think anyone is going to actually dress up for the Cocktail Party event either, conventions are usually just jeans and tee shirts type of casual.
Sorry guys, Creation updated their guest list to remove Aldis Hodge for Nashcon with the following message:

HOTEL INFORMATION
Rooms through the convention are $129 plus taxes and resort fee for a total of $167.55 a night. Stay at the world famous Gaylord Opryland Resort and enjoy one of the world’s finest resort destinations. You will LOVE it as we do. it is the perfect place for fans to gather and have a wonderful time. To get this lower than normal room rate please call the hotel at 1-615-883-2211 and give the code 11Super. This offer will be available after October 15, so please wait until then to place your call. Creation Entertainment holds a “block” of rooms for our attendees. These blocks of rooms have a lower rate than standard rates at the hotel, but they also have a “cut-off” point after which hotels may choose to revert back to their own higher rates for our customers. Usually this cut off date is one month prior to the event, but this does vary. Therefore it is always wise to book your rooms for our conventions as early as possible.
WHERE TO BUY TICKETS
All the ticketing information is found here at the official Creation Entertainment page for the convention.
NOTES: Creation Entertainment announced that they have one more special guest announcement in store for us, so stay tuned…
Thank you all so much for sending in questions! I’ve used a lot of them in the basic 411 pieces I’m writing for this blog. The questions that were not covered will be answered in turn - as soon as I have concrete answers for you. Some of you asked very good questions that involve a little investigating myself which I am happy to do, so they might take a little bit longer but they will be answered to the best of my knowledge. Some, I’m going to ask for you guys to help me answer. I’ll be posting my basic guides for conventions first, though. There are a couple themes I’m following, so once those are written and posted, I’ll start answering more specific questions. After that, I’ll post a guide for each upcoming convention (starting with the soonest) and begin a tag system for each convention so you guys can check in on the ones you’re attending with a simple click. We’ll regularly check to update you guys with news on added guests, events, and other kinds of things. You can continue submitting questions, as long as I’m running this blog, I’ll be helping you guys with answers! In addition, I’ll start accepting post submissions once the tags system is set up and running for seasoned con-goers to share their advice too! I want this to help everybody with their convention experiences to make the most out of it! I’m nearly finished with most of my 411 posts so anticipate them coming very soon!
While I get this up and running - what would you like to see covered? I want to make an FAQ post to start us off, or at least cover the basics to get the ball rolling.
This blog is dedicated to sharing tips, tricks and advice to other Supernatural fans who are attending one of the many conventions. We’ll be sharing deals, helping you guys meet up or split rooms, announcing news (such as guests added, events changing et cetera), advice on what to be prepared for, and anything in between. We’ll have dedicated tag systems for relevant information about specific cons to read through. Please feel free to use the askbox to submit questions to us right now - we want to know what you want to see covered in our FAQ! Soon after the FAQ gets posted, we’ll be asking you guys to share your own advice in our submissions box - but not until we at least cover the basics first.
So please, ask away and recommend us to your con-attending friends! We’re here to help.
